    Benidorm: Save, Spend or Splurge

Beloved by Brits, Benidorm is described by many as being a home away from home. The nightlife scene caters for all ages with zany cabaret shows, realistic tribute bands, and popular nightclubs. Also, where else in the world could you recover from a night on the tiles with a full English breakfast and a day at one of two award winning beaches? As Benidorm appeals to so many different people, there are numerous ways that you can holiday in this fabulous resort and we have something for every budget.

If you’re looking to do Benidorm on a budget, it might be worth considering a self-catering apartment. These generally work out cheaper than hotels, but still offer guests a wide range of provisions. The Levante Club Apartments are extremely popular as they allow visitors to use the facilities of three different complexes: the Levante Club Apartments, the Levante Lux Apartments and the Levante Beach Apartments. The Levante Club Apartments offer multiple swimming pools, together with a separate children’s pool and playground for the younger guests. Some of the new upgraded rooms even feature a James Bond theme. Rooms cost from £25.00 per night.

If self-catering really isn’t your cup of tea, the Sol Pelicanos Ocas offers rooms starting from just £38.00 per night. This large hotel features five swimming pools centered around a large lagoon. There’s also an entertainment programme that will delight the whole family, with live entertainment shows, workshops and sports competitions. If the hotel looks a little bit familiar to you, it’s because it doubles as the Solana hotel, where the TV series ‘Benidorm’ was filmed.

Hotels in Benidorm are relatively inexpensive, so even a swish four-star hotel won’t set you back too much. For guests with mid-range budgets, we recommend a stay in Spain’s tallest building, the Gran Hotel Bali which costs from just £36.00 per night. The hotel benefits from an enviable location just 400m away from a sandy beach and less than 2km from both central Benidorm and the Terra Mitica Theme Park. From the 8th October to 1st November, the popular park will be gearing up for Halloween, with costume contests, spooky shows and a bone-crunching buffet – so now’s the time to visit!

For an adults-only break, the Flash Hotel Benidorm in the centre of town is a great couples’ retreat costing from just £45.00 per night.

    Splurge*

The Barcelo Asia Gardens is the place to stay if you wish to go all out in Benidorm. Set away from the popular resort on the slopes of the Sierra Cortina, it’s not hard to imagine that you’re in Asia rather than Spain, due to the hotel’s Balinese architecture. From £160 per night, guests can have access to a wide range of facilities, including an on-site spa and supervised childcare. A limo service is also on hand should you wish to visit any of the nearby sights and attractions.

Those wishing to splurge but stay closer to town could consider the Villa Venecia Hotel Boutique, which costs from £110 per night. Nestled between Levante and Poninente Beaches, the hotel has its own golf course and an onsite spa offering 40-minute private hire periods. The reasonable €100 fee even includes Champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
