This Sunday the Alpharooms crew will be donning on their best sporting gear, dusting the cobwebs off their trainers and pulling on their Alfie t-shirts and taking part in the Sheffield St. Luke’s Hospice annual It’s a Knockout Challenge 2011. The event is held to help raise awareness and money to support the charitable work of St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield and this year is the 40th annual event. The Alpha Beaters (no one can beat us!) team members will be hoping to raise a personal target of £750 which will then be matched by Alpharooms to donate to the charity, helping to provide vital funds for the Hospice. St. Luke’s Hospice work hard to provide care and support for those with incurable diseases as well as providing counselling advice and support for families and those that need it the most.
Along with Alpharooms, 15 other local businesses have gathered together their teams and will all be taking part in the charity event which promises to be a fun-filled and messy day, apparently! The challenge will feature inflatable obstacle courses, giant fancy dress costumes and lashings of soapy water! Just remind me to take my rubber duck and arm bands.
